Recieved a call this morning from a "Johnny Anderson" from 'Citizen Energy'. My electricity service was going to be interrupted within 45 minutes. I needed to get to a CVS or Riteaid and send a $348.49 cashiers check via greendot. This would supposedly put an emergency block on the disconnection and the money would be refunded to me within 21 days. I contacted BGE, knowing its a scam. I gave them the info I had been given.

A fake DEA agent called today to tell me I am "under investigation" and asking for a "fine" to be wired to him. This has happened to me several times in the past and I have a form (emailed to me by a legitimate FDA agent) where I record the caller's information and return it. DO NOT BE FOOLED OR SCARED BY ANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER!

agagin i have called from another phone number this one 321 800 9474. these people are scamming people and pretending to fine you. dont be scammed. DEA dosent operate this way. If the law wants arrest you, you will get a waarrent delivered to you by mail or just come and swarm you at your house or place of buisness..

I received a voice mail yesterday from 321-800-9474.  Crime division "Special Agent Alex Davis" saying, This is part of an open and ongoing investigation in which your name has come up.  We urge you to call immediately as we have some questions we need to ask you."  It sounded official and I called back.  This Alex Davis answered the phone, cave me a case #, an officer I.D. number, Narcotics Division Unit # --the whole nine.
He proceeded to harass me to the point of saying DEA agents are on their way to arrest me on federal charges.  "If you leave your house, you will be considered AWOL"  

I admit, they had me pretty confused.  First I thought it was a scam, but he was very convincing.

At no point however, did he ask for a fine to be paid and wire transfered, although It was clear it was headed that way and obviously very suspicious.

I've contemplated reporting it locally and on the federal level for impersonating a federal officer.  But would it really go anywhere?
It was quite surprising just to find this thread on it!
