Just got a call (they called me last week too), but I don't answer numbers that I don't know. They didn't leave a voicemail, so that means it's not important and is a scam just like all the people say.

Scary how similar all these stories are.  They claimed I had a payday loan, know the last four of my ssn, and cited a previous bank.  Where are they getting this information?
They said $710, I told them I couldn't pay that.  Then they offered me a settlement of $426 but only for today.
They said if I didn't pay they will start garnishing my wages...yeah, we'll see about that.

My gosh these scammers are out of control !   I thought my calls had stopped They are now calling me  from a different number  .. it's rediculous !

I have received 3 of these calls this week and one was just a few moments ago. When I said I wasn't interested the man with an Indian accent did the most loudest BELCH  down the phone so I just hung up and have now blocked the number. Hey-Ho.

Oh yippee, Nations Recovery, once the home of "Officer Jackson", a manager and trainer who preferred a theatrical approach to collecting from PDL "thieves". Per a (now erased) TV station article in November 2008, "when police caught up with him outside his workplace, he was wearing a full uniform complete with Fulton County patches on it and a gun belt, handcuffs and one of two handguns that police seized." From another source I recall that his fake badge or patch read "NRC Unit / POLICE / Sgt. Detective". Real cute ... What next, "Law & Order: Special Dunning Unit"?
