How do you know the number's registered to her?

In recent days I have received annoyance calls from the following numbers:  319-294-7021; 703-330-0318; 240-699-8981; 508-747-6965; 804-234-9105; 269-768-2211; 703-330-0318; 617-475-3027 - have received multiple calls from some of the numbers.  Usually if I pick up there's nothing on the other end, or maybe just a click or dial tone.  I presume there is some associative element to all these calls, though I don't know what it is.  Maybe it's just poorly executed marketing or surveying.  Maybe it's something nefarious.  In addition to filing complaints with the FCC, and the local government from which the calls originate, we ought to file complaints with the phone companies from which we receive service.  We pay them and then they let these annoying calls go on uninhibited.  Perhaps if they begin to lose customers they'll become more interested in taking action.  I have AT&T service.  What service do you have?  Whatever it is, file a complaint for each and every call you get like this.  It may take a few minutes to figure out how to do that, but once you have the procedure subsequent complaints ought to be quick and easy to do.  A few hundred thousand complaints ought to get their attention.

Got a call from these people yesterday, it was a survey concerning who I thought was the best choice for Congress. Our State has a hotly contested race so I am guessing my states Repubublican or Democratic party has contracted these people for this survey, and if you are registered to vote your party probably has your phone number and it is unfortunately one of the exceptions to the "no call list"
I do intend on calling my local party's office anyway to voice my displeasure but I doubt if much will happen to end these surveys for poilitical reasons.

I continue to receive calls from this number.  No one responds when I pick up.  When I call this number, it either rings busy or rings and rings with no response.
