the phone rings, if you answer it you hear nothing but a long series of beeps. no one says anything. if you don't answer it it does the same thing on your answering system. It has happened 4 times in the last hour and a half.

This number came in on my Missed Calls screen today, January 4, 2016 at 9:00 am pst.  No voicemail.  When I did a search on the phone number it came up as Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, Louisiana.  I live in Oregon and don't know anyone who lives in Louisiana -- let alone a hospital.  Weird call.

Medical associated goods.

Caller ID says "Northern Louisiana Medical Center". First of all, I do not live in Louisiana and I do not know anyone who lives in or near Louisiana. Second of all, the number they called is used only for interoffice communications at my business, and we have no branches in Louisiana.

Either this was a legitimate wrong number, or a scammer.
