They could not tell me why they called. Only asked for acc.# ,ssi # and grandson name. Who are these people

I ignored call from that number ... some nuisance business, I'm guessing.

This phone number is American Funds, the mutual funds company that handles our company's 401K, They would only call you if you made out your check wrong, or requested info about changing funds, etc. Or maybe if they can no longer contact you by email, like if you receive your monthly statements that way.
