recieved a call from this # that was blocked by my call blocking app; after I could not find any info on this #, I dialed the # fromanother phone (not mine) & that call went to a recorded answering system which eventually identified them as NCA (National Credit Adjusters) after various instructions to have your case # ready if you have recieved a summons from us etc. Have never had any contact from NCA prior to this & have no idea what they are trying to contact me about. Have read that they are a 3rd party collector who buys old debt that was supposedly shut down in 2009; have also read reports on 800notes that they have recently been calling to try to collect on old payday loans. Does anyone have a mailing address for them that is NOT a PO Box#??

Forgot to mention that this # is a local area code for my area but not much info available when # is searched; could it be a spoofed #?

I received a call, too. These calls come in spurts. I have been getting tons of them recently (New Brunswick, NJ; Indianapolis, IN; Washington, DC; Trenton, TX; Belle Glade, FL; Mineola, NY; Babylon, NY; Commack, NY). OMG! Do they believe we have nothing more to do than answer the phone for scams?

I also got a call from this company. They said that they bought up an old loan from when I was out of work a few years ago. They will hold my case for 7 days before they do anything. They want me to make arrangements for paying them off. I too, have never received anything from them.

Of course they're spoofs. They will lie like a dog to get 10 cents.
