Caller stated I had won 500,000 dollars will be deliVerde on Wednesday, when I started to asked questions they all of a sudden  hung up

This attorney called and stated for me to sit down because he had great news that I had won second place in the clearinghouse sweepstakes that being 500,000 dollars  I was so shocked I thought I was going to have a heart attack,when my husband got on the line he proceeded to give him that info also and my husband told him that it was too good to be true that was false he hung up so fast,things like this should be stopped old people could have a heart attack and being on two blood pressure medications I could also could have a stroke is there anything to stop this type of scam?

You can stop answering the phone when it's a number you don't recognize. 99% of the time the scammers hang up.

I know it's hard to not answer the phone when it rings but times are different and even what is displayed on caller I.D. Is not always who they claim to be.

I'm glad your husband was there to hang up on them but be prepared, they will call back since they almost had you.

These people tell you to sit down because you just won 500 k. And it was on its way.  Getting people's hopes up just to be disappointed.  What a bunch of lames.  You suck.
