I answered and there was a lot of static and could hardly hear. An Asian woman said something about free HBO on Directv for 30 days. she said be sure to cancel so you will not be charged if you do not want to keep it. I was suspicious because DTV always send a message on the TV about free HBO SHO and MAX for a weekend mostly during holidays then it automatically cuts off. If you want to get it you just upgrade your account on the website. I suspect she would have asked for a lot of personal information if I showed any interest in the scam. The caller ID showed up as Direct TV. Some times subcontractors run their own scams

Called me and offered free premium channels on Directv for being a long term customer in god standing.  They said i would get Showtime & Cinemax free for 30 days, and pay 13.99 per month after if I decided to keep it. They never asked for any personal info or account number. After I hang up I became suspicious and checked with Directv only to find someone had started a buy one get one promotion package on my account three days later.

I don't answer unfamiliar numbers. If they don't leave a message, I research the number. Glad I did! I will now block this number.

This number keep calling

Keep getting a call.  I hear it is a scam.
