Call said it was for Gerald Albert for charges filed against him for fraudulent activity.  Scam.  I've gotten similar calls for "gerald albert" from a different number that was a scam, but the guy on the other line called me by my first and last name, then proceeded to curse me out.

This company is your typical run of the mill collection agency that specializes in delinquent payday loans. They use legal jargon in attempts to make you think your in serious legal trouble. Theyll use words and phrases like 'pending charges', 'fraud',  'you're going to be served', etc, etc.

Its all a bunch of b.s.! I know this because I briefly work for one of these type collection agencies while I was in college. We used aliases and the loans we were collecting on were at least 2-3 yrs old (a lot of times older).

Dont fall for their scare tactics and dont give them a dime unless its something you legitimately owe on and even then get it in writing from them

btw, payday loans usually do not show up on your credit report

I believe it is a scam. Once I went through to get to the Summons department and they want to verify your address and social security  number and date of birth in order to be cleared of the supposed charges. Phishing scam if you ask me.
