Got a call from this number, 316-300-0000, at 4:44 PM today - and it popped up on my cell phone from Kansas. Area Code 316 is Wichita. Further, my caller ID said it was a person named Ron Gier, who google associated with that majorly sucky SPRINT corporation.
Yes, the same sucky company that lays off thousands of employees at a time, some times right before the holidays, and sold off thousands of network employees to their bedmate, Ericsson. And yes, the same company who bought Nextel for a bizillion dollars and then lost their pants with the sour deal for no other reason than to pay bonus and stock to former Nextel managers and excutives who have now screwed the once powerful and admired Sprint Corporation into the ground. Yes, a wonderful example of American Greed and how to destroy what once was an excellent example of American Business. Sprint used to command a huge amount of respect in the marketplace - remember Candice Bergen and the PIN DROP commercials? But now, it's all been squandered by executives who actually get paid to destroy what was once great. Shame on the FCC for allowing any of this to happen, but, most of all - shame on those individuals at Sprint and their board of directors that knowlingly went down this road. It's a pity, too, since Sprint was founded by good people who actually cared about families and communities. Now, it's all about money. Money. Money. And, they don't care how they get it - they just want it - more and more of it. Not for their employees - but for their executives. What a perfect example of GREED. Shame. Shame. Shame.
