Got a message that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me.

"This is officer from internal revenue services. We have been trying to reach you. This call is an official final notice calling from internal revenue services. The reason of the call is to inform you that we have filed a lawsuit against you. For more information call immediately our department number 315-913-0150. I repeat 315-913-0150."

Claiming to be IRS and that a law suit was filed against me.  I know the IRS doesn't make phone calls, we are warned all the time about this.  How can we stop these scam artists.  I didn't answer but the crook left a phone number to call back, which I didn't do.

Called in the morning 9 am from 1-315-913-0150, claiming to be IRS with lawsuit. Then told me to call their number and hang up. FAKE

Have been receiving calls from IRS impersonators for about a year now but this is by far THE Sneekiest! Call came in as "Private Caller" on CID. Voicemail was left "via phone co" that I was provided a new voicemail box, press pound for add'l info. Thinking this was from my service provider (Charter) I pressed # and the usual voicemail was played about last notice from IRS who was ready to arrest me, to call (315) 913-0150 immediately. The call of record said" voice mail msg via phone co".
