Just got a call from this number again and the voicemail is the exact same voicemail I got about a week ago. You can tell is pre-recorded.. Bunch of bologna scam! The "Attorney of Records"... WTF!! O_O... and the "hotline" number to his "division"... I just laugh when hear this stuff! I recall at first getting a call like this back in July and it scared the pants out of me but after further reading and doing my homework, all I do is laugh!.. I actually now enjoy these voicemails listening to how pathetic and ridiculous these people sound on the phone... sounding all serious and using scare tactics to prey on innocent people.. these crooks need to be in prison and to rot there... I should of answered it and yelled soo loud on the phone.hahaha. Once again, as I said on my previous comment, know your rights under the FDCPA the FTC, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act..

It is a collector.  I received the call and a person calling himself Jay Smith stated that h needed to hear from me or my attorney the second I got the call.  The issue was time sensitive and I was not ignore.  If I did not return the call than all he coudl do was wish me luck as the situation unfolded.

Big scam going around. He can make his name appear to be a light local number. Our caller I'd said it was coming from the town of Smyrna that we live in and te number matched up with our local police department. Another nearby town is actially calling residents warning them of the scam.

I got the same call this morning but the last time he called me was from Florida and his name was James same voice and same thing he told me again I ask him what this was about he just told me I owe a payday and they are going after me for fraud and that he wishes me good luck and hope I have a good lawyer I am a single mom so I am scared anyone get the same call what did you do

I just received the same call. He id himself as Attorney Jay Smith. He had my name and my bosses cell phone number. call was disconnected. I called back from a land line he hung up. Some type of scam.
