Claims to be Kelvin Morgan from IRS criminal investigation, called my grandpa and left a message and weird claim number. I called back and, first of all he sounds south asian and doesn't care about costumer service. I asked him what's the IRS main number and he didn't know and asked me to hang up and seach it..... Then I asked him if he was trying to scam me and he said "yes its a scam, i dont want to waste time".

I called him back and asked to speak with Kelvin Morgan, he said it was him, same accent. I said that I have a claim number  but lost it and needed help finding it, he said sorry he can't help me and that one of his agents would call  back.... anyway I'm done!! This guy sucks

They call 5 to 6 times a day. I finally answered and a male caller is telling me that it is in regards to a matter concerning the IRS and there is a warrant out for my arrest. I am going to call the IRS directly tomorrow. I have no problems with the IRS. Beware people, do not give any information out to anyone. Be Careful !!!!

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

USA tax payers should read this:
http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/Phone-Scams-C ... 5-Filing-Season

Canadian tax payers should read this:
http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/nwsrm/lrts/2013/l131210-eng.html

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.
