Spam/scam - called my do-not-call-listed number, "Newark, NY"? If so, they should obey U.S. and NY aw and not spam phones, on this Sunday at dinner time, or any time. Blocking- All we can do, since "do not call" is ineffective (well, useless). Tell the phone companies to listen to customers and the FCC/FTC and deploy tools to stop robo-calling and spoofed calls, as well as targeted scams and spam. There's a petition sponsored by Consumers Union- with thousands (millions?) of signatures, and Sen. Schumer has presented legislation to require this of telcos. Why they don't do it voluntarily is a mystery (or has a scary reason!). Try a call blocker/app, or see what completely ignoring unknown numbers does for you after a while. That list works for what it was meant to, that doesn't include swindlers and con artists.
