Two things could have happened here:  1.  Someone, not saying it was you, called that number from your phone and it was registered as a missed call.  Maybe it was dialed in error.  However, the cab driver that received that call doesn't know that.  He thinks you were calling him for a cab.

He meant no harm; just looking for business.

Caller called at 11:48 pm and asked if this was my phone number. And we said yes and he asked if we need a cab. We of course said no and he stated that know we have his number if we need one.
