I kept getting this call, and i called back and it was for a debt I owed onan apartment i left and she was VERY rude i was willing to work with her on paying the debt off but she would not work with me so i told her i would call me lawyer and she changed her tone immidiatly. and it was from consumer financial a collection agency.

Got this call at my work number. They asked for me. I said this is him and the male promptly hung up on me. Very rude if you ask me. If it's for a debt I owe, at least give me a chance to try to work it out. (My caller ID said "Consumer Collections", so I know it's about a debt of some sort.

I got a call from this number and they asked for my father.  I asked how they got my number and they said I was listed as a relative of his.  They asked about his addresses (one of which I could identify as an old one).  I imagine they were trying to get ahold of him for a debt.... but pretty shallow to call a relative for someone else's debt.  I don't have debt collectors calling me... I definetly don't want someone else's calling me!!!

These people don't want to work with you AT ALL!!  Extremely rude and unprofessional.  When I make a call I identify myself and why I am calling, they don't identify who they are.  They won't tell you from whom the bill is from, just dates and amounts and pay up NOW!!!
Everyone is having a hard time in this economy, that is no reason to treat people like second class citizens.  Everything can be worked out.
Horrible, horrible company.

This is a debt company.  As the past posters said they are horrible and rude.  The man kept asking me how I had lights and a phone, but couldn't pay my debt even when I offered a date when I would be able to pay.  Their website states that they are 'Professional' debt collectors, but act in an extremely unprofessional manner.
