I worked there for 2 weeks, if that. I was told we would be off everyday by 5, which was great, and on our first Friday out, I was out till 2 am, mainly because the "boss" April wanted to take me and another girl to the bar. I got paid a whole $30 while I worked there, and my last day there, a bunch of us got tickets for selling without a lisence, and when we took the tickets back to April, she said she would have them taken care of, come to find out today, I HAVE A WARRANT!!! I have a warrant for a job that I was doing, and now I have no way to get ahold of her to discuss this matter.......COMPLETE SCAM!!!!

Thanks for posting this.  As soon as I spoke to Andrea I knew this was not a fully legit, bus, they pressure you to come right away and start in a week and wouldn't discuss the Company other than to say it was a Wholesale Fragrance Company, I smelled a rat, went on line and found your posting.
Glad you mentioned here that it was American Wholesale Fragrance on Gravois.  Saved me wasting time and cancelling another appt.

I had my first interview with Connie today and received the exact same information that was listed in previous posts. Thank you so much for providing me with this information!!  It felt like a scam when I was in the disorganized "office" with all of the shades pulled shut and paper over the glass door.  It seemed as though they were hiding something and now I know they are!!  I will definitely NOT be attending the second interview tomorrow.  How can people sleep at night when they are giving false hope to others in an economy like this.  Just awful!!!

The same thing happened to me today. I was a bit suspect when I had a friend call the company and they wouldn't tell them anything about the company. When I called they answered "American".  I still went to the interview on Gravois, parked in the 3rd row of American Arms.  There were 3 other people scheduled at the same time I was.  My first thought was that the office was dirty. The carpet needed swept and the window sills were dirty. My interview with Connie went as everyone else said. M-F 9-5, paid training, my own office in 90 days and pay of 35K.  I have extensive experience in management so I didnt think that was out of line. Was told to call back at 5:00 to see if I got a second interview and I did. Was told to come in tomorrow for a 2 hour interview and bring pen and paper. Then I did research on the company and found they are a scam.  I am going to contact the BBB tomorrow and would advise everyone else to do the same. They will just move on and rename the company but hopefully eventually they will get caught.
