Piece of crap debt collector using illegal scare tactics to try and scare you into paying a debt that they cannot prove that you owe or may not even owe. Don’t verify any information or promise to make any payments. Good chance statute of limitation has already passed. Pay them no attention.

Caller says a local merchant has reported me for a bad check. Funny I don't use checks, can't remember the last time I wrote one!!!!

I received a voicemail from this number today. An automated voice that did not identify who was calling said that a local merchant had filed a complaint against me for a returned check. I haven't had a checking account in over 3 years but when I had one I also had a savings account that provided overdraft protection, I never had any checks returned. This is some sort of scam.

called stating my husband had been reported for a bad check, funny he does not write the checks, it is me. although he is on the checking account.. when i tried calling back, got the person at extension 135 is not available and can not leave a message cause the mailbox is full. left message, no company name, just detroit michigan and number
