Noticed this number on call display but no message. Used cell to call it back. Woman answered "ADT" home security. I said I was just wondering who this was since the number was displayed on my phone. She said that they're calling people for 10 free home security system giveways and asked for my name to take me off the list. I said we have another company that we use for home security and I said that they never left a message which makes me wonder if they are legitimate and I won't give her any information including my name. She said she would find it anyway and hung up on me.
This is the second company that has made repeated calls to my unlisted home number and never leaving a message in the last week. Ironically, we switched over to AT&T Uverse at that time. Since we made the switch, we've had a ton of spam calls. We also got about 5 calls a day from another 313 area code (not unusual for us since we live in Metro Detroit area), and that company was doing the same thing and they listed their name as XXXXXXXX.
Since we've had the same unlisted number for 15 years, and a sudden spam calling spree since switching to UVerse, I'm seeing a connection....we warned! Someone on another discussion board said that this number called and she subsequently had unauthorized charges on her bank account!
