I just called DTE because I got a call from this number and they had no record of calling me and didn't have record of this phone number.  They had asked for me by my maiden name so I just told them no one was here by that name.

This is DTE Energy.   They called last week stating they needed to update the gas meter in my home and wanted to schedule an appointment.  That was from a different number but was legit.  It appears this one is as well.

Thank you, they called back today and left a message this time. But they were trying to sell me a warranty for my appliances incase of power surge.

DTE called me & left voicemail saying, "This is a courtesy call. Call us back at your convenience." If it's important, they can put it in writing. Not behind with my bill or anything like that, so they don't need to be calling me.
