I have been getting calls from this number with a 313 area code and a prefix numeral number of 209 and ending with 3048. Example: 313-209-3048. I get several calls with a similar numerical exchange but with a different prefix number. I am certain these calls are bogus because the callers never leaves a message. It is a Detroit area code and no message is left on the answering machine. Anyone else getting these calls? If so, who are they?

I got a call from 313-209-3022 today.  I didn't pick up and no message.  I assume marketing or political.  I'm not expecting any calls from that area, have no business contacts there, etc. I put it on block on my phone, but who knows what number they'll switch to next.

I have/no of no contact that would be calling me from Detroit and when I answer there is silence, then disconnect, similar to comments on reports on other nuisance websites regarding this number.  What you have to ask yourself is,  Why would any business, or even scam offer for that matter, not make the pitch with live answer.  This is something else, perhaps criminal (or other) party checking on subjects whereabouts?  Such repetive calls must have some purpose.

I think they are paid to test your # on behalf of a bill collector or "other" "irritant."

I got a message from Banker's Life at this number after making my Monster Profile public.  My profile says I'm looking for a real estate analyst position, not a life insurance salesman position.
