Claiming to be IRS, final notice .

Caller claimed to be from the IRS.  Stated an audit was done on my taxes from 2009 - 2013 and I owed the IRS approximately $9,000.  They advised me that a warrant was put out for my arrest and if I didn't make payment immediately the Federal Police were going to show up at my door and arrest me.  The caller also alleged the IRS sent me 2 Certified Notifications advising me of this situation and claims the USPS left me notification to pick up said mail.  WOW....for a minute I thought I was going to jail!  However, being a civil service employee for more than 27 years, I know for a fact government agencies to don't sent any mail Certified - BIG RED FLAG!  Second, I actually received a notification from the IRS on my prior taxes in November 2015 and at that time, I paid what I owed.  The IRS assured me there were no other issues found with my taxes.   I don't know what kind of scam this is, but as soon as I can get through to the IRS, you better believe I'm reporting this SCAM Artist Company!

We don't need additional crap like this! Life is tough enough.

Sick of these calls. I don't owe the IRS and I've been told the IRS sends letters and never calls.I get as many as 3 of these calls a day and from different numbers. These people should be in jail.

My wife got a call stating that the caller was an IRS representative stating that we had some back taxes that need it to settled and that if we didn't take care that we were going to be sued. The caller asked for her name and home address. My back became a little suspicious and called me and told me about it. I told her not to give any information out because it was a scam. I goggled the number and the shazam dam if it wasn't. The number is somewhere in the Chicago area.
