****SCAM....SCAM...SCAM...*********

This "lawyer" called me too, saying I owed a debt and I better pay ASAP or they were going to file papers in district court and have me picked up. The guy identified himself as "Mr. Jameson" from "RJS and Associates". RED FLAG HE CALLED FROM 224-938-3375 AND SAID TO CALL HIM BACK AT 312-859-3748 (BOTH VERIZON WIRELESS #) The guy said not to confuse him with a Debt collector because he was an attorney and that I had 48 hours to pay or else I would be picked up. What an idiot because I had already paid this off, I called the lawyer which I paid and they even called the # he left and hung up when they identified themselves as calling from The Law Office of ...... I called this guy back and asked for his mailing address and for him to send me info regarding this matter...he emailed me some bogus letter that my kid could have written. I called him again and asked for his fax # and the guy flipped out said why & he only had my case for 48 hours. I advised him that would be enough time to fax him some info he got upset and said no i'm going to file in the US District court in your county and they'll be there to pick you up in a little bit. LOL

These guys are real good scammers though check this out the next day I get a call from some guy saying he is calling from the US District court in my county no name and no # and that he needed to talk to me ASAP because he had papers in his office for me to pay or be picked up. He hung up on the person who answered the call to take a message . ****------->Well the SCARY part was that the call came in on my caller ID as US COURTS. When I called back it WAS for the District court in my county. I spoke to the clerk there and she advised me that they do not call for or to collect debts and that if there was a case filed in there offices I would be notified by mail of a possible court date. I expalined the situation and she advised me that it was probably a scam and for me not to worry she would advise her supervisor because she could not believe that the call came from their offices. I advised her that it is on my caller ID and she just couldn't believe it.

I have not received another call from this guy but I am going to file a police report and complaint to my attorney generals office.

I work for the above mentioned attorneys office and I am well aware that our services are not for everybody. We try to offer consumers that have outstanding debt an option to pay off their balances before any kind of civil suits or court proceedings are necessary. Unfortunately, the person above has failed to pay back a loan and in the processed comitted fraud by closing his bank account to avoid paying back the loan. It's people like this that have put our country far behind the eight ball. We are a legimitate company and  in addition to the civil suit that will be filed early next week, we will also be seeking compensatory damages for slander.

As usual, "Joe" skipped right over the part where the guy said that the debt was already PAID OFF!!

Obviously the debt was not paid off or we wouldn't be seeking a civil judgement at this point, I assumed that went without saying. We don't call or sue people that have paid their debt. That's common sense, it was forwarded to our office because it was never paid.

J..is this a pay day loan if it is there is laws that will protect you. You do not get arrested for a civil matter
