got a call twice today

This number has called five times in the last 24 hours, as late as 9:30 last night.  I tried to call the number back and it was a line that just kept ringing.

This number has been calling my cell phone all day. When i answer the line is silent and disconnects after 10 seconds. I called back and got a recoding sayin to hold for the next representative. Then a recorded male voice tried to get me to press 1 to "show how smart I am" and get trivia questions sent to me or something. I waited for a person, then another recorded male voice said if I would like to be added to their do not call list press 1. I was skeptical because it just tried to trick me into pressing 1 which probably would have cost me money somehow. I pressed it anyway, the voice said I would be added to their do not call list and to allow 24 hours for it to process. The number called back 3 times since then. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

I received two phone calls from this number yesterday and once as early as 9am this morning. When I answer, nobody is in the other line. I finally called the number back after waiting five minutes. It was "a chance to enter in a sweepstakes for a chance to win a cash prize!" All they needed was some information from me. I hung up. Don't answer these phone calls especially if its costing you to answer from your cell phone. If you block the number at no cost, I would suggest to do so. Im annoyed already and plan to block the number.
