Scam generated from craigs list ad> The best indication is when th scammer says there mover/ or agent  will pick item up

Today, I received a text from that number inquiring about an item I had for sale on Bookoo.  They stated they were out of town on a job but wanted the item.  They said they would mail me a cashier's check for the asking amount +20 (for me to hold it).  Then they would send their movers to pick it up.  

It sounded fishy and their grammar was fairly poor so I looked up the number on the net and saw this post, plus another from a different Bookoo location.  That writeup also said it was a scammer's number.  I sent them a text and said the only way I would sell to them was a face-to-face meeting and cash only.  Strangely enough I never heard from them.  Go figure.

I am not sure if they got my number from Bookoo or Craigslist, as my ad is on both. I had a near identical experience as the previous poster.

I just had this same exact experience with this same phone number as stated above. Poor grammar, said they were gone for 3 weeks for work and really need the item. Said they would send me a check for $120 with $20 for the "movers" and I just received something in the mail for a cashiers check for $2000. I'm reporting it.
