They ask for a person and claimed to be a special agent with case numbers or something and would not tell me who whey were a special agent for.

A "special investigator" gave me a case number and claimed I owe almost $3,000 and that I will need to go to court and such. Sounds like a scam to me.

I also received a call from 312-265-4649, from a "special investagator" claiming I owed $600 and would have to appear in court.Definatley a scam, i contacted the bank, who had no record of such account.

I received a call from a special investigator saying that a civil suit was being filed against me from a check cashing agency and I would need to pay 390.00 and when I asked for documentation he said he would give it to me after I paid the fine. Sounds like a scam to me

no i was summoned, i asked for documentation to be sent to me first as well, thinking it was a scam, and they said not until i payed it because it was with the attorneys awaiting my hearing and they were just the locating agency.  i didnt believe investigator myers or miles or whatever and now my unemployment has been almost cut in half (thanks to sheriff overall serving me my summons and atty mcculloch prosectuting me through my grand ol state of missouri) until i pay it off. its sad that you cant believe a damn word anyone says on the phone anymore because i would have def taken care of this be4 i had to learn the hard way.
