I got the same message and DID get a live person. I asked him to stop calling me and he tod me right up-front that they WOULD continue to call as long as I own any kind of credit card; Visa, MC, Discover,etc. I am filing a complaint with the FTC, but I doubt it will do any good.

I got a call from this number.  I was on another line.  I called it back and got a message saying it was a verizon number that was no longer in service.  hummmmm

Not only did I receive one call from this number but 3 almost simultaneously; 2 on my cell and one on my landline. When calling back I received same message; verizon wireless number no longer in service.

310-986-9762 has called again, saying they are a credit card company and offering to lower my interest rate to 6.5% and to dial 9 to talk to an operator.  I dialed 9 and requested to be removed from their calling list, stating that I didn't not want their interest rate and the responder hung up on me.
