they just verified my name and hung up

Same thing happened to me.
I asked their name, they asked for mine, I gave mine and they hung up!

A lady called me with this number saying that she was with the Publisher's Headquarters and that there was a giveaway on May 31st. Apparently my name had been submitted for entry through my credit card company. She did not specify which company or provide me with any other information about the company, instead saying that even if I did not win, I was eligible to recieve free subscriptions to magazines of my choice as soon as I gave her personal information like my age and address. I cut her off after that to say that I was working and couldn't speak on the phone right now, she told me I could call her back with her direct connection. I went online and found that this same "Company" name has been used by other California numbers seeking certain people for personal information, sometimes under the guise of giving away magazines. Seems sketchy at best.

A lady called me from this number said she was from publishers clearing house, that my name had been submitted to a sweepstakes.

Keep calling my cell phone asking for my husband then I call back from a different number and nothing happens
