Got a call from "Dan" at this number claiming to work for an LA jewelry company that wanted to buy diamonds and silverware.  When I called the number back immediately after hanging up I received a message that the number was no longer in service.

Receive calls from this phone number daily the past two weeks. No message, just missed call, unknown caller on phone.

Same as Julius reported on 1-NOV-14.  I was concerned that if I had indicated that I own things of value that I might sell, this would trigger a robbery,  

I further notified the caller that I have been registered on DoNotCall.gov for 11 years and he must cease & desist from any further calls to my number.  This is clearly fraudulent activity demonstrating a willful disregard for the law.

I received a call from "Dan" with the same claims the others wrote, that he works for a jewelry company downtown and wants to buy jewelry for cash. I am also on the Do Not Call registry and when I mentioned this and asked him to remove me from his list, he yelled at and insulted me. It was disturbing.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
