Landline call. Answering picked up but they left no message. Don't recall seeing this number on my Cid before.

I'll be damn they just called again. Within 20 minutes of the first call. When they don't leave a message, I do not return the call. If I don't recognize the number I do not pick up. If it's important, they will leave a message.

As long as they're getting an answer of some sort, they're likely to continue pestering you. Shut off any answering device and let the phone ring if it's a landline they're calling on.
