Caller ID indicated that this was Bank America, but talk to customer service and it was stated this was probably a scam. The recording ask if I wanted to lower my bank card interest rate. But no one responded and I hung up and called Bank America. They stated that they do not do that via phone calls but only via mail.

Just read a warning post on FB warning that an individual calls under pretext of a bank verifying credit card numbers by giving them out of sequence. (Facepalm) One repost came from Md.  I believe that the same individual called my office in Northern VA asking to verify our corporate card.

John, I called the credit card issuer & they told me the same thing.  Ot was not Bank of America though.   What they're doing is a very simple technique that routes through another number to make it look like call or txt is coming from that #. I would ppl to report this to B of A so they can address their security.

I just received a call from this number and the caller ID indicated the call was from "Credit Card Scam"....no joke, that is what the caller ID read!

Called my number, stated wanted personal info....When questioned further they hung up
