I have two phone lines.  After they gave me their number of 888-279-6050 i have been calling on each line constantly for 10 minutes.  Each time they answer Best Carpet Care I say nothing until they hang up. Then redial.  After about my 11th call one of the girls shrieked "oh my god." So I keep calling.  My girlfriend is calling too from her home.  Hit *67 to block your id.

I'm not certain that *67 will block your number to an 800 number, but what can they do if you call from a pay phone?

I have done some investigating and I’ve compiled all the info I have come up with. This is as of 5/19/2007. I’m posting this on all the sites that are related to this company.

Company Names They Use: AAA Carpet Care, Allison Carpet Care, Best Carpet Cleaners, Best Carpet Care, On-Time Carpet Cleaning, Pro-Carpet Cleaning and Infinity Carpet Care.

How They Operate: They are probably a carpet-cleaning referral service and they earn commissions by finding clients and then referring a local carpet cleaner to their home. Likely, they have a VOIP service which allows them to spoof a number different from their own so the number that pops up on your caller-ID is not really their number and it’s useless to call back that number.

Current Phone Numbers: 888-279-6049, 888-279-6050, 888-279-6051, 888-279-6052, 888-279-6053, 888-279-6054, 888-279-6055, 888-279-6056, 888-279-6057, 888-279-6058, and 888-279-6059

Old Phone Numbers: 800-376-1983

Spoof Phone Numbers: 213-221-1021, 310-388-8021, 310-421-9121, 562-433-3521, 650-898-0321 (There are probably more, but this is all I could find)

Possible Addresses (These may be fake like the spoof phone numbers): 14709 Vanowen
Van Nuys, CA 91405; 6803 Cedros Ave, Van Nuys, CA 91405; 1400 Huntington Drive South Pasadena, CA 91030; There are numerous more based on web searches of their 888 numbers.

Probable Web Site: http://www.procarpetcleaning.org/home.nxg

Also, go to http://local.yahoo.com/ and do a search for 888-279-6049 in zip 91405 and see how many different locations this number refers to. You get results with their other numbers, too.

HA ! HA!   All those numbers do not work. I think they got the message and stopped answering all our calls. What a bunch of a holes

Perhaps what we should do is tell them that we are very interested in getting our carpets cleaned and give them the address of the local police department or school.  When the "real" carpet cleaning company calls you to finalize the schedule you could just say that you changed your mind.  It would really mess with their referral business and perhaps the companies that use them as leads would get the picture.
