Didn't pick up, but I've been receiving calls at least once a week for at least a couple of months now from this outfit. I don't understand how they are getting away with this. I thought there were substantial penalties for Do-not-call list violations. What entity is responsible for enforcement? I was surprised to read here that people are complaining to BBB—Isn't there a government number to call?

Called twice on May 15th 2007. We are on the do not call registry and we are going through a family crisis at this time.

It was an unfamiliar number so I let it go to voice mail. They left no message. I Googled the number and found this site. Thanks to everyone who posted the details of this annoying carpet cleaning company.
How do they get away with it when I'm on a "do not call list"?

they've called me twice, but from Julie of best carpet cleaners.  today i pushed 1 to speak with someone and a girl answered and I said i'm on do no call and she hung up.  I just called 310-388-8021 and it keeps hanging up before ringihg.

I posted on May 3 and I got another call today. "Wendy" told me they are in NY and their phone number is 212-268-2415 (probably a lie as they lied last time I asked for their phone number). I asked if 800-376-1983 is also their phone number and she said "no... wait, how did you get that number?" LOL. I told her it doesn't matter how I got the number, because it's not hers. I then spoke with a guy with an accent, but I couldn't get any info from him. At least I wasted some of his time.
