I just got a call from a company trying to scam my company. They wanted to know some info about our copier and other machines and that they were our main supplier. When I asked the name of the company, she hung up. They called 3-4 times before this and anytime someone asked them to hold, company name or anything THEY WOULD AGAIN HANG UP. Guess what? The name and number came up on the caller I.D. So called and spoke with the switchboard woman who was extremely rude and went by the name of Kara Smith. She claimed she didn't know of a company called Ink Express and she would write the company and ask them to stop calling my company. Hmmm very fishy! Point is...Watch out for Ink Express phone number that came up was 310-338-8800 and the number "Kara Smith gave me was 1-800-649-1605. Thank goodness I didn't fall for this trap. I thought you would like this number ...best of luck

Scam company try to get our copier machine code

Just got a call from a "Steve" at this number demanding the model number of my copier. Very rude and confusing. Assuming it's an office supply scam: http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/supplies.asp

"Steve" also called me today from a company called "Berret" or something like this. same story as with the others. tried to get the serial number of my copy machine without specifically saying WHAT copy machine. No  professional company would ever do this.

Their caller ID was turned off and it only showed as UNKNOWN so I had my phone company trace them down.

I didn't catch the woman's name but I just had a call from 310-338-8800 asking for the model number to our copier so they can send out toner.  Funny thing is, my office is so small we don't have a copier….nice try :)
