Texted me, interested in purchasing a vehicle from me that I had posted an ad for on Craigslist. Requested my address so that he could send me a Certified check. I received what I thought looked like, and teller agreed, a fraudulent check. The person was unwilling to use an alternative and more secure method of payment. I want to make sure that nobody actually falls for this ridiculous scam.

His name is Mark from TX. He texted me and asked to send me a check via USPS Priority mail. It is a scam

Same as Andrew- texted me about purchasing my car- asked for my address to send check. Said would ship car after sale. I could imagine his henchmen coming to pickup my car after receiving his bad check.....like a comedy.

He said has name was MARK.

Contacted me about my sofa.
Same story, "I'll send you a check"
You'd think he'd change numbers...

Selling my dirtbike on craigslist and after I got this "scammy" message, I already had a feeling this wasn't right. All I did was google the 310 phone number and clicked on the first link being this site. I would like to thank Andrew, Mo Larry, and Monica for posting your output on this [***]! I let "Mark" know that I will not be doing business with him and I didn't tell him why bc he'll research this site off of google and possibly take it down. Thanks!
