I was in the car over my speakers so I missed the guy's name. He said he was from "G.E." Security systems. That they offered wireless home security, ect, ect, ect. After running through that I was asked if I was having a good day. I waited a second, seeing if I would get a "Hello? Are you there?" because I was sure it was an automated call for how perfect the speech was and how it was paused in wait for my voice back.
I said that I was having a good day and I got an excited "GREAAAAAT!!! And then asking me if I had a security system. I said I did and was immediately asked if it was over 3 years old.
At this point I stopped, said "hello" to confirm it was an automated call. To my surprise I got a "hello" back. I laughed, apologized that I had thought it was an automated call for how well the script was being read. The guy thanked me and hung up.
READ BELOW, IT COULD REALLY HELP IF YOUR PHONE HAS THE FEATURE.
After that I used this feature on my cell phone to block the number. If they try to call back they'll get a single tone and then be hung up on (I tested it with my wife). It's amazing and has reduced my call volume exponentially as I add more and more numbers to the list. If it's your cell phone that is being called, I urge you to set up this feature as the volume of calls I get has gone from 5-7 a day from various numbers to maybe 1 or 2 every other week. It was just part of my Samsung Galaxy and it's not something new because I had it on my old Note 2 (3+ year old phone) as well.
