It's a solicitation for the state police.  But here is what I heard.  DO NOT give to these people calling.  You are lucky if the orginization they are supposedly collecting money for get 20 cents of every dollar you give.  It's a rip off.  I wish I knew who to report it to.  The guy on the other end was rude and pushy.  When I told him I don't have money to give he said he'd make me a deal.  Only $20 donation is their lowest level.  I told him no, I had bills to pay and tried to say take my name off his list and don't call me again, he hung up on me.  Next time I am going to interrupt them and tell them don't call me again right off.

I have caller ID so I don"t answer the phone unless I know who is calling. But I have been getting calls from this number relentlessly for weeks now, identified as an out of area call with the phone number. These calls come every couple of hours everyday. Someone finally told me to try googling the message to identify the caller and thats when I saw your message. It's good to know who is calling, but it sure is annoying. I remember some time ago answering their call and yes they are very pushy. I'm glad I don't have to take their call but I sure would like to know how to stop them. It shouldn't be legal to harass people like that. And they are associated with the police. Unbelievable!

Well maybe when you pick up the phone, ask to be placed on the do not call list. And the one who says she been getting these calls for weeks now is a liar because thats impossible the caller ID is only 2 days old. Before being so quick to jump to your own assesments ask questions to the rep calling you. No matter what you think these people put up with people like you all day long. If you cared and looked into these programs you would see it actually goes above and beyond benifits currently being provided by the state. Oh and go ahead and interrupt karen, we are trained to not let you interrupt so good luck with that. And what you heard about 20 cents on the dollar is bs. Like I said if you give a dam, ask questions when they call. Its against the law for them to lie to you.

HELLO Greg!!  PEOPLE... NON PROFIT CHARITIES ARE EXEMPT FROM THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST. Why don't people have a right to opt out! IT'S BULL!! And who are the people calling are they scammers or non profit Beggers! Give them and me a break stick it! The phone rules need change asap! Opt out is just what it means, a consumer pays for the exclusive use of a phone line and should be entitled to the private use of it. Like the lease on a car, you don't let everyone use it because they are work for a non profit company. If the phone company does not charge a person for the phone line and use of it than yes you have no rights, but when a person pays they bought the right for you to stick it BOY! And THANK YOU GREG FOR SHOWING WHAT A JERK YOU ARE! AS FOR YOUR TIME I WOULD LOVE TO BE CALLING ON YOU SOON.
