"Bob Jackson" with "A Resolutions" at this number is also leaving messages for me.  He has left them on answering machines with some of my friends - even giving out the last 4 digits of my SSN in the message (these have also been left on my answer machine.  He wants info regarding how to contact the HR dept. where I work (unemployed since July 25th!).  I've also been suffering from some major health issues and told him in my message if he wanted to donate his liver for a transplant I would appreciate it.
I think there is some law out there and will do follow up on it, stating messages left on answering machines are not to state any personal information or that it is a debt collection - today is my day to research that!  I'm confused by the phone number area code being '305' but information about Nebraska collections...305 is a Florida area code.  This man waited until almost 4:00 on a Friday afternoon and "demanded" a call back before the end of the business day?!?  He did that with my friends message also.
Yes, I screen my calls, my machine will know be turned off at home and he can leave as many "voice mails" on my cell as he wants, but calling friends for information - that is over the top!

I started receiving voicemails and emails (not sure how they got my email address) from this company job stating "We are calling to verify your employment, salary information and social security number".  When I returned the call the rep., Bob, stated he was calling on behalf of Cash Call (AKA Western Sky) regarding a delinquent loan.  Things went left when I asked him to stop calling my job.  Bob (if that's his real name) continues to call my job and I'm filing a formal complaint for harrassment with the Better Business Bureau and my local police department.  Note to Bob "It's my right as a consumer to request you not call my place of work and you are required to comply".

It is your right to request they stop calling you at work - Fair Debt Act - I told them they could send information in writing to me - IF I get an address - I will post here also and a letter to "Bob" should also state that.

Peg - never pay any caller who refuses to MAIL a debt validation letter showing you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of the first call is a violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).  And per the FDCPA, you should not pay anyone who can't/won't mail this to you.  More information here:

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
