This guy scammed me--same details, story, etc.  I have spoken with the Miami PD, the Miami Beach PD, the Miami sheriff's office, and finally the Economic Crimes division, and none of them would even initiate a report.  The Economic Crimes division finally told me to file a report locally and then it would get forwarded to Miami.  Does anyone have a contact that was particularly helpful in Miami to whom I could report the crime?

Did you give this picture to the Miami Beach Police?  There is a Western Union he visits in the area, or at least when he scammed me.  He is bound to get caught soon.

Well we just got scammed as well out of $500. We wanted UT vs NU tickets for the October 16th game in Lincoln. We got the same story as most everyone else...
His dad was a professor who died who had season tickets and now he has them, he is an architect that got transferred to Miami and is the lead architect for the new Marriott, his wife is pregnant with twins and is a nurse, and he "walked us through" how to fill out the Western Union send form all the while telling us it would be FedEx COD.
Unfortunately we didn't figure it out until we got home and realized that the tracking number he gave us for FedEx wasnt real...then we were out $500.
We already reported it to our local PD and the FBI.

He used the name Barry Andrews this time though and had a private number. But also gave us his address as 18 Ocean Blvd, Penthouse #2, Miami FL 33164...All of which we now know are fake!!!

I got screwed too, but he may have slipped.  He accidently didn't hit the *67 and I got a real number though when I called to confront him the woman was confused.  I asked for Trent and she told me to call back after lunch.  I called again one hour later and she said it was a pay phone at a school.  Not sure if this helps at all.  I just said screw it...I'm out $150.
