an "investigator" called and said that I was being investigated for payday loan fraud. He had ALL of my information, phone number, email, address, and employer. Not sure how he obtained this info, but i've never had a payday loan. I informed him to send me paperwork and I will have my attorney look at it, then he was silent. I hung up on him and he called back several times. I didnt answer.

Just got the same call i said let me get my lawyer on the phone they hung up

This person call saying that my name & ssn is involved in some illegal transaction.  I do not respond because feel it is a SCAM in order to get information or to threaten saying that they will issue a warrant for arrest from FL or MD.

Total scam.  If there was some illegality afoot, you'd hear about it from law enforcement, not some scammy debt collector.  Block their calls and ignore them.

A few important things to remember,

A debt collector cannot threaten you with criminal cases or jail.
They HAVE to give you proof of the debt if they do not you do not owe them anything.

If they are calling you and refusing any type of proof then they are not debt collectors but scam artists.

Hang up, and dont answer again.
