Called with an Indian accent stating he was Officer Lief and that there are several cases against me...I needed to settle a debt and had to give him my info to clear this out before the law suit proceeds...Funny thing is, my fiance is in law enforcement and I work with Computer forensic Investigators...I know the legal process...This is a SCAM AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFO.

Please be aware this is a call from a International Call with an Indian Accent originating with a Miami, Florida number. In this day and age of Telephony and VOIP call system anyone can buy any USA or Canadian Phone number and it would appear as if they are calling from North America. This has very fake and incorrect pronunciation, wrong English grammar and a fake name. He is claiming to be Lee Swanson and he is not of the same ethnic origin. As one can easily detect his wrong enunciation and accent. He has no specific debt claim, just threats to put the called person and his friends,( who has somehow retrieved their numbers) to put them in jail and also threatens to take their house, their jobs and etc etc.
The shocking thing is that this SCAMMER has the audacity and boldness to constantly call the Home Numbers, Mobile Numbers one after the other and leave very funny messages with his funny accents, he says he is calling from the Biggest Financial Services Company. Also say he is calling from the Dept of Law and Investigations. There is no such organization or govt. agency anywhere in this world, this is totally fake. Immediately call and register a complaint with local law enforcement agency and let them investigate and handle this. Please program your phones to bar this number as soon as possible and threaten them about the police tapping their phones. Please do not be afraid about these criminals. They are just taking advantage of the modern technology to do anything they can to scam money from innocent and naive US residents or citizens.

these people keep calling my work and my personal phone they are harrasing me its getting very annoying they have no respect nor do they care i hope someone does something about this its the same people and names as above post's

I too received a call from a person with an Indian accent today... I was told I was being charged with wire fraud and check fraud and they were pressing charges, taking me to court and arresting me if I didn't pay up. The scary thing is they had my social security number, my bank account numbers and my address and cell phone. I was recently in the FL Keys and they traced the origin of the calls to a location near Marathon in the Keys.

I was put on "hold" while he got his "Sr. Supervisor" on the line. I was hung up on by the so-called "Sr. Supervisor" and when I called back I was totally berated and asked my age, "how old are you that you don't understand me?!" I told him I was recording the call and he quickly got off the line. I was livid. I called the police and gave the police the number they called from. I closed all my accounts and obtained a SSN pin #.

I asked the Indian accented caller to stop calling me and he continues to call me about 20 times a a day. I can opick up , hang up he calls me. he doesn't leave messages.

I believe this is a scam. You can hear other people in the background, but when I called him back, his voicemail was broken up enghlish without a compnay name etc. I asked for a Supervisor and he giggled that the Supervisor was too busy to come to the call. I asked if the call was beng recorded for security purposes and he continued to yell at me saying that I do not know why he is calling me.
