Anyone else ever gotten a call from these people? I got a call from Mary Miller with the Fraud Dept saying that a case was about to filed against me and that because of state and federal law that she had to get a legal statement from me regarding the case. She left me a case number and told me to call her back immediately and if I didn't an order of detainment would be filed with my county court.

I did a reverse look up on the number and it said that it was a land line in Dade County Florida, which is a bit odd, usually these types of scams use pre-paid cell phones.

I had my home broken into a couple of years ago and documents stolen. I have also had my information stolen off of a website and sold to all sorts of people.

I have gotten these types of calls before but most of the time, you can tell they are from overseas, by the accents and then by the fact that they have very American names. I am thinking that this is just the same thing, but the woman sounded to be American and the speech was much better rehearsed and professional sounding than any of the other.

Just wondering if anyone can comment on this.

This Mary Miller person left me a voice stating the same thing, with the fraud division and she is investigating identity theft.  Well I have not been a part of identity theft.  And I have contact attorneys and that have informed me that this is a SCAM.  And that I should contact my local FBI because it is hard to track these people down because the are on the move all the time.

I received a call from this number with a Rebecca Morris urging me to call her to make a statement in regards to an identity theft.  This message was passed along to me from the secretary at my place of employment.  Of course, it sounds a bit skeptical so I decided to Google the number and all this information from you guys popped up which makes me feel much better about not returning the phone call.  I am so tired of idiots bothering people because they have nothing better to do.  So if anyone else out there gets a call from the "idiots", ignore it!  They had the nerves to give me a case number.LOL!

I get calls from this group and other just like it. Heard they get your name and number from some database and call to scare you into giving them money. Why can't these people put this kind of effort into a legitimate job and use their talents for good...versus harassing good people and trying to scam hard working folks out of their hard earned dollars?!

WHO IS THIS, SHE THREATENED TO HAVE ME ARRESTED?
