RECOREDED PHONE MESSAGE SAYING THEY ARE THE IRS

Claiming they are IRS, and we are being sued for money-lawsuit, blah, blah-recorded call. Don't ever fall for this type of call-IRS and gov't. don't work this way..never by phone. Be careful with any letters, also-really check it out-as these scammers get better and prey on people who might not be aware of their fraudulent tactics...

"IRS Debt Scam"

I got a voice message call stating I owe monies to the IRS and was asked to call the # listed.  When I called and asked how can i be sure you are the IRS and phone disconnected.  I tried again, and again phone disconnected.

they are absolutely positively not the IRS. The IRS doesn't call people unless they were called first. :) The IRS is the most transparent agency there is; I once got a check from them for $1.17 because of a miscalculation on my taxes.
