Be aware. They might use other numbers and sometimes only the number shows or Miami or wherever the heck they are running their little scam from.
I answered an ad that said they were offering FREE diabetes testers. Well, I did answer one call and found out FREE means ... we want to contact your doctor and have them order up this simple little testing kit and then we will apply to Medicare for reimbursement. Well, that is really shady business, as far as I am concerned. Of course I told them to get lost. They tried to say that I should somehow have known what they were doing.
No doubt these people do haul in lots of business this way. After you get the little tester paid by us, the American Taxpayer, they will continue to harass you to buy the strips you need, and anything else they can get you to order.
Do we need Health Care Insurance Reform? You bet and let's hope that this kind of racket goes out the door. is is a good example of why our health care costs so much in the USA. We have too many companies making big money off sick people and not so sick people.
Tell your Senators and Representatives to get on the ball and pass real reform that will lower the costs of care and give us as good care as they get in most other developed countries (and probably so-called under-developed ones too.)
