Detective has it spot on - every piece of information to steal your identity, drain your bank account(s), and  open every type of credit account imaginable, etc. Don't fall for it. BTW - PCH is giving out their contest prizes in February, 2011. They never mail notices.

Caller states that she is from Readers Digest and requests Credit Card information, Driver's license information. Continuing phone calls from this caller attempting to gain elderly persons information. Caller attempts to befriend elderly persons to obtain this information.

they are also posing as Publishers Clearing House Reps. and requesting fianacial identifiers such as SSN, DOB, Mother's Maiden and so forth.

I received a letter in the mail saying I won  Two Million Six Hundred Dollars!!!!!!! Don't be fulled....!!! It has the call numbers of 1-305-381-2276 an 1-540-313-6622. An the Fax # is 1-540-313-6622.  I am going to bring the letters to my local news paper an see if they will publish them, hopefully an maybe save some people there identities....
