Ok here's the data.....(I always try to speak with data..)
From 05/10/13 to 07/08/13 no BS calls from the scammers. So I call Rush Limbaugh's number 07/08/13 @ 1433 EST number as an experiment. (800-282-2882)
On 07/09/13 @ 1219 I receive a scammer call. I get a couple more between 07/09/13 to 08/02/013...then silence for a couple months.
So...I "go fishing again" and call Rush's number again on 10/22/13 @ 1021...and I [***] you not....receive the credit card scam call again 10/24/13 @ 1500 EST.
Coincidence? I think NOT. I suspect that some 800 numbers you may use trigger a system to alert telemarketers (with whom your telephone system may have previous agreements) that a warm body is available at the number that just called the 800 number.
Now where did I put my tin-foil hat ?????
