This was an automated call that came through listed on caller ID as "Cell Phone, Florida".from the number 305-368-8328. It is yet another of many scams claiming that it is "regarding your account" and asking you to "press 9 for a representative". First, I don't know who this is and I allowed my answering machine to answer the call, and secondly, any "accounts" that I have are in good standing (always have been and will continue to be), and I deal directly with the respective companies, not some joker calling from a cell phone with a robo-dialer. Also another red flag is when calling the number back to get company information (if any), there is nothing but the staggered signals/ringtone of being "disconnected"..... nice try there buddy! Blocked you are... added to the list of many more like you. Sick to death of these scam calls, and sick to death of the FCC rules regarding calls like these not being enforced!! Also tired of the National Do Not call registry... it is a waste of time since it is not effective at all... starting to believe that they too sell the lists of numbers that they have in the registry, rather than protecting consumers as they should. .

Me too. You describe my experience exactly. I made the great mistake of answering this call before looking at my phone information box, and then pressed 9 for a representative to yell at him/her and tell them not to call or I'd complain to Do Not Call Registry. How dumb was that. I got a guy on the other end who told me, when I demanded his phone number, my phone number, and when I asked who he was, said, "I'm a very nice guy and I'm in love with you, baby." I swore at him and hung up. Do Not Call has given me no relief, either. I guess I'll have to pay my phone company to block the call. Exactly what these scammers want -- instant "fame" through the knowledge they're disturbing real people, and maybe a chance at robbing those whom they call.

This is a scam and, if you get an actual person, an abusive scam; see my post above. Best advice: look at your phone dialogue box. Answer no phone numbers you do not recognize. I'd like to say, "Report it to the Do Not Call registry," but like another poster to this site I'm sick to death of doing that since it does absolutely no good.

They call 2 or 3 times a week with no one on line or dial 9 for a rep. Called it back to a fast busy. Tired of these calls. The no call registry is as useless as our president.

3 different calls within minutes of each other, then a couple of hours and the numbers start again. This has gone on all day (starting at 9:03 am) until just now 6:33 p.m.) and will continue all week if their very predictable pattern continues oh here is another call . I agree, I think they purchase the DO NOT CALL list and use it for their calling list. People who are not on the list do not have so many calls as those of us who are on the list.
