Saw this number on my caller id & figured it was a wrong # as it listed Santos Hector as the caller.  Then a few nights later I saw the # calling again so I answered - a women claimed to be doing a survey for people in my area and claimed to have already talked to my neighbors.  When she asked if I had a few mintues I said no & hung up.  I called the number back & it was busy.  Then called a few days later and received what sounds like a residential answering machine.  I smell scam so beware!!

answered the phone just out of curiosity - claims she is the Purple Heart and they are going to have a truck in my area next week.  Why in the world would someone from Florida be calling me in Michigan to tell me a truck is coming by??  We have volunteers here that do that.  Next thing - she probably would have asked me for my address too.

Got called today from Santos Hector, a woman caller.  Total scam.

It sounds more like Purple Heart is now having their callers use software from www.santronics.com (Hector Santos, CTO) to avoid having the caller's home phone number show up on your caller ID.  Santronics does not appear to be a business that deals directly with consumers, so they probably would not be scamming them.  You can call Purple Heart at 734-728-4560 and ask.
