Called & did not leave a message! I called back & was informed that the # is disconnected

Called & did not leave a message! I called back & was informed that the # is disconnected! W.T.H.?!?!

showed up on my phone as 0113052286865. from miami fl. which is really wierd because that is was too many numbers.

Yes, I also recall that when I looked through the caller-ID numbers on my cell I noticed that in some of the calls I have received, there's also an extra digit.

Also, the "schpiel" I got from this annoying group also previously sent the same calls through a nubmer which showed as 4412023789 (which means emanating from UK?).

Since I have read there are ways to spoof the caller ID, I wouldn't be surprised.

These seem to be some extremely annoying callers, operating some scam from overseas. They are persistent and just don't go away. The scam is to do with some prize you have or may have won. Ignore it, never pick it up.

My guess is this is perhaps a war-dialer of some sorts. If you just pick up and say nothing, you will hear a call being directed somewhere else. Obviosuly, an answering machine detect. Then, the human comes on the call, and there's a distinct put-on American accent. And then the "schpiel" about some prize or drawing.

Big problem with these guys is that they are just annoying and they just don't get it. Even if you talk to the human caller and tell him/her to go take a hike, their dialer still calls you and just routes the call to another agent.

Whadya expect from a bunch of idiots? As for me, I've had enough and will inquire from my provider how to block them, and will also report them to the FCC and the FBI.
