I received several message from this number that I am in trouble with taxes. Tax deficiency and Tax fraud. What a complete scam. CRA would not deal with a matter using an automated message with NO actual persons name!  Be aware that this is a scare tactic and highly doubt CRA works like that.

Was called about having opened a criminal case against me for tax fraud....at 7:40 am.....

Received a recording stating this was a criminal investigation didn't wait to hear anymore. Scam written all over it received at 11:15 am

We received a call on friday and today (monday Aug 15/16) The message left on Friday was saying they filed a criminal case against me for tax fraud. We are up to date with our taxes and balances.  Pretty sure it is a scam because i don't think the CRA would use a Florida area code.  We also haven't received anything in the mail regarding this.

It sounds like I my call is the same as the one above about filling a criminal case against "our number" for tax fraud. The left this # to call back so I did but should have thought about it before doing that because tax agencies would send you a letter with your SIN # on it and a case # plus additional details. I called the # back knowing it was an American area code because we do have a house in the U.S. Fortunately the mail box was full so my guess is that this scammer has been busy.
